Booking Terms & House Rules

Everything you need to know for your stay at 56@Crocodile

1. Booking and Payment

• Reservation: A booking is confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from us.
• Payment: To secure your "front-row seat," the total balance must be paid 30 days before arrival.
• For short-notice bookings made less than 4 weeks before arrival, the full amount is due immediately upon receiving this booking confirmation. If payment is not received in due time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and release the dates.
• Payment Methods: We accept [EFT, Credit Card, etc.].

2. Bookings via Booking.com

Please note that for reservations made via Booking.com, the specific terms selected at the time of your booking on their platform apply.

• Modification & Cancellation: To cancel or modify a Booking.com reservation, you must use their platform directly. We cannot manually cancel these bookings for you.
• Synchronized Terms: Generally, our Booking.com "Standard Rate" aligns with our 30-day direct booking policy. However, if you booked a "Non-Refundable" or "Last Minute" deal on Booking.com, their platform’s strict policy takes precedence.
• No-Show: In the event of a no-show for a Booking.com reservation, the full amount will be charged via the payment method provided to them.
  

3. Refund Process

• Refunds for direct bookings are processed within 7-10 business days.
• For Booking.com reservations, any refund process must be initiated through the Booking.com customer service or extranet to ensure correct commission handling.
  

4. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change.

Our cancellation fees are as follows:

• Up to 30 days before arrival: Full refund (minus a small administrative fee).
• 14 to 29 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking amount will be charged.
• Less than 14 days before arrival / No show: 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.

5. Arrival and Departure

• Check-in: From 14:00 (2 PM)
• Check-out: By 11:00 (11 AM)

Please inform us in advance if you expect to arrive late, as we are located in a secure area.

6. Wilderness & Safety Disclaimer

56@Crocodile is located directly on the border of the Kruger National Park.

• Wildlife: Animals are wild and unpredictable. Do not feed, provoke, or approach animals at the fence.
• Liability: Guests stay at their own risk. 56@Crocodile and its owners cannot be held liable for any injuries, losses, or damages related to wildlife or the natural environment.
• Fencing: Please ensure all gates and doors are closed as instructed to ensure your safety.

7. Privacy

Your data is only used to process your booking and will not be shared with third parties, except where required by South African law.
